De FUJIFILM GFX100S is ontwikkeld op basis van de grondbeginselen van de FUJIFILM GFX100. Zo is de GFX100S een prachtig vormgegeven camera die nieuwe creatieve mogelijkheden biedt aan iedereen die een camera met groot formaat sensor graag buiten de studiomuren wil gebruiken. Deze nieuwe camera weegt slechts 900 gram en is daarmee niet veel groter of zwaarder dan veel full frame camera’s.
Alles wat u op technisch gebied van een FUJIFILM camera mag verwachten is in deze nieuwe FUJIFILM GFX100S opgenomen. Onder de spreekwoordelijke motorkap schuilt een 102 megapixel sensor die maar liefst 1.7x groter*1 is dan een full frame sensor. Daarnaast beschikt de camera over een nieuw ontwikkeld 5-assig intern beeldstabilisatiesysteem (IBIS) om trillingen op te vangen tot maar liefst 6-stops*2. Bovendien is deze camera voorzien van een razendsnel en uiterst accuraat scherpstelsysteem met fasedetectie AF over de gehele sensoroppervlakte. Natuurlijk kunnen gebruikers van deze camera ook vertrouwen op de alom geprezen kleurtechnologie van FUJIFILM. Dit alles biedt ongekende nieuwe creatieve mogelijkheden voor iedereen die deze camera gaat gebruiken.
De sensor van de FUJIFILM GFX100S beschikt over een fase-detectie autofocus systeem waarbij de pixels die verantwoordelijk zijn voor het scherpstellen over de hele sensor zijn verdeeld. Hierdoor heeft de camera zeer snelle scherpstelmogelijkheden – voor camera’s met dit formaat sensor ongekend snel. De camera kan binnen 0.18 seconde scherpte verkrijgen op een te fotograferen onderwerp, zelfs bij moeilijke lichtomstandigheden tot -5.5EV*3. Hierdoor is de FUJIFILM GFX100S uiterst veelzijdig inzetbaar voor allerlei fotografische situaties. Dankzij de krachtige X-Processor 4 beeldverwerkingsprocessor en een vernieuwd algoritme voor het autofocussysteem kunnen ook bewegende onderwerpen eenvoudig worden vastgelegd. De camera beschikt over een AF-Tracking systeem en uiteraard over Gezicht- en Oogdetectie autofocus.
De FUJIFILM GFX100S beschikt over een volledig nieuw ontworpen intern beeldstabilisatiesysteem (IBIS). Hierdoor worden de mogelijkheden voor een camera met groot formaat sensor aanzienlijk uitgebreid en kunnen fotografen vertrouwen op scherpe opnames wanneer zij uit de hand fotograferen. Vergeleken met de FUJIFILM GFX100 is het IBIS mechanisme maar liefst 20% kleiner en 10% lichter geworden. Desondanks kan het 5-assige IBIS systeem nu tot 6 stops aan trillingen opvangen, een verbetering van 0.5 stops ten opzichte van de GFX100.
De FUJIFILM GFX100S weegt slechts 900 gram, is 15cm breed, 10,4cm hoog en 8,7cm diep. Hierdoor is de camera zo compact dat deze eenvoudig overal mee naartoe genomen kan worden. De FUJIFILM GFX100S is in grote en gewicht vergelijkbaar met veel full frame camera’s, maar beschikt over een sensor met maar liefst 102 megapixels die bijna tweemaal zo groot is als een full frame sensor.
De FUJIFILM GFX100S beschikt verder over een vernieuwde sluiter en maakt gebruik van een kleinere maar zeer efficiënte lithium-Ion batterij die we kennen van de FUJIFILM X-T4. Dit alles resulteert in een camera die maar liefst 6 centimeter lager en 500 gram lichter is dan de FUJIFILM GFX100, maar de FUJIFILM GFX100S zorgt voor eenzelfde beeldkwaliteit op het gebied van fotografie en video.
De GFX100S is aanzienlijk kleiner en ligt ergonomisch gezien zeer prettig in de hand, waardoor deze geschikt is om er langdurig mee te werken.
De camera kan worden gebruikt tot een temperatuur van maar liefst -10oC en is weer- en stofbestendig. De behuizing, gemaakt van een aluminium legering, zit 1mm dichter rond de G-vatting, waardoor de camera ook geschikt is om te gebruiken met grotere en zwaardere G Mount objectieven.
Dankzij de grote sensor die in de FUJIFILM GFX100S zit, kan er cinematisch worden gefilmd in een beeldresolutie van maar liefst 4K30P. Hierdoor kunnen beelden worden gemaakt met een zeer geringe scherptediepte en dankzij het grote dynamische bereik en hoge
ISO- prestaties van deze camera levert dat ongekende beelden op.
Video’s kunnen worden opgenomen met een bit-rate van maar liefst 400Mbps en op verschillende kwaliteitsniveaus, van 10-bit 4:2:0 F-Log intern op een SD geheugenkaart tot 12-bit 4:2:2 ProResRAW wanneer gebruik wordt gemaakt van de HDMI-output mogelijkheid.
