Het maximale diafragma van F1.8 maakt vloeiende achtergrondvervaging (bokeh) mogelijk - ideaal voor flatteuze portretfoto's. Beeldstabilisatie met Optical SteadyShot in de lens voor haarscherpe stabiele portretfoto's zonder statief. Stil mechanisme tijdens het opnemen van films Dankzij het grote diafragma en Optical SteadyShot is de lens uiterst geschikt voor sfeervolle portretfoto's zonder statief en zonder flitser, zelfs bij weinig licht.
